friedrich kling
Friedrich did his undergrad in biology in Berlin and his thesis in Christian Rosenmund’s lab on SNARE proteins, which got awarded with the Katharina-Heinroth-Prize.
He joined The Neural Computation Lab during his master’s in Neuroscience at UCL. The goal of his thesis was to record dendritic calcium spikes, which are hypothesised to control behaviour and consciousness, in mice doing a sensory discrimination task. He competed his master’s with distinction and a Dean’s list nomination.
He is now a PhD student on the Optical Biology PhD program.
His interests outside of the lab include photography, reading and classical music. He also takes singing lessons in his free time..
