Daniel completed his BSc in Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh before starting his PhD at UCL in 2021.

His research focuses on the neuronal computations that underlie the generation of transitive inference, an adaptive behaviour that involves the formation of flexible relationships between related stimuli that constitute a logical sequence but have never been directly experienced together. He aims to understand the mechanism enabling this generalisation of information using high density Neuropixels recordings across the entorhinal-hippocampal network and prefrontal cortex.
